Prestariang Gets Another 3 Years Appointment as the Sole Microsoft Partner to Fulfill Master Licensi

CYBERJAYA, 29th January 2018Technology and Talent solutions provider, Prestariang Berhad (“Prestariang” or the “Company”), today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Prestariang Systems Sdn Bhd (“PSSB”) had received a Letter of Award (“LOA”) from the Ministry of Finance (MOF) to be the sole Microsoft Licensing Solutions Provider (“LSP”) for all Government Agencies and Institut Latihan Awam in Malaysia under the Master Licensing Agreement (“MLA”) 3.0.


MLA 3.0 contract will come into effect starting 1 February 2018 until 31 January 2021 at an estimated total value of RM222.6 million, and is an extension of contract awarded by MOF for PSSB’s efficient delivery and timely execution of MLA 2.0. “The extension is a testament of the Malaysian Government confidence in our team’s capabilities to deliver the core services under the contract. These include aligning to the Competency Enhancement Program Strategic Plan developed by MOF to drive the Government’s Digital Transformation agenda. In this respect MLA 3.0 has become a pre-requisite”, said Dr. Abu Hasan Ismail, President and Group CEO of Prestariang Berhad.


MLA 3.0 is a catalyst of growth in Prestariang’s business offerings of Microsoft training, products and services under the Company’s Technology and Talent platform. The scope awarded to PSSB for MLA 3.0 includes expanded clientele base with expanded scope of services.


PSSB has been appointed as a Microsoft LSP since 2006 and has been recognised as one of the largest LSP in Malaysia.


MLA 3.0 contract award is expected to contribute positively to Prestariang Group’s financial performance.
